when i was growing up in the 60's,
my parents would bring books of wallpaper samples home and hold them up to the walls to see what
best reflected their taste. no doubt they were just as concerned about what their choices would
say to their friends.
today, people approach body art in a similar manner. tattoos reflect a thought process about the
message they send about the person and how they will be perceived by others.
as the wallpaper from the 60's has faded and peeled it raises the question of how today's body
art will appear to us in the future.
